Oxford County Cheese trail & Big Cheese days!
The Oxford County Cheese Trail, ran by Oxford Tourism, is a “self-guided tour of 30+ stops which makes for a pleasant afternoon, day or weekend in Oxford.” Featured are “ cheesemakers, attractions, restaurants and retailers with fun activities, unique flavours and offers you can purchase – all related to dairy. From factory tours, unique experiences, artisan goods and delicious food, perfect for simple or splurge-worthy fun.”
At our location you can find a collection of handmade artwork, cheese themed décor, and artisan made kitchen ware for all your get-togethers!
Big Cheese Days
Big Cheese Days is a special event run by Oxford Tourism, along the Oxford County Cheese Trail. It’s hosted every Saturday in May and The Station Arts Centre always offers a free creative event!
In the past we’ve done community murals, inviting people to colour in designs on our walls. A “Say Cheese Selfie Wall” featuring art made by the community that was then available for fun picture taking! And rock painting, where we invited the community to help us liven up our outdoor space!
Stay tuned for details on this year's Big Cheese Days activities!
Tillsonburg Turtlefest
Tillsonburg Turtlefest is a long standing, free, yearly event which The Station Arts Centre is proud to be a LARGE participant of! Each year we run our “Creative Imagination Station” at Turtlfest which includes multiple craft booths, face painting, toys, chalk, a selfie wall, bubble station, and an information booth to learn more about The Station Arts Centre!
Additionally we host a yearly turtle-inspired exhibit, full of community art in our main gallery space - which begins during the opening ceremonies of Turtlefest and stays up for a whole month! This year's exhibit is titled “Shell Of A Place" and will feature art inspired by home, hometown stories, and turtles. Pieces for this exhibit can be submitted until May 23rd.
