About the event

In this 1 day workshop we will be painting a Sunflower composition in Acrylics.

Workshop Plan:

This painting can be completed on a stretched canvas size 20”x24” or you choice of size.

It is preferable to have your canvas textured before the workshop. If you cannot add texture, it really is no problem. It’s a personal preference. Please do not add HEAVY texture with tons of ridges, just mild works better, and easier on your brush!

Select your colours:

These are the colors I will be using – but use your favourites

I will also be using Golden Fluid Acrylics – but use what you have

If you only have Acrylics in a Tube or Heavy Body Acrylics, they can be diluted, no problem!

.Titanium White

.Titan Buff

.Naples Yellow

.Naphthol Red (any red will do)

.Perm Dark Violet

.Raw Umber

Other supplies:

Water in a spray bottle

Rubbing Alcohol in a spray bottle

Items to imprint a circle – different sizes

I use a used masking tape roll and different sizes of bottle caps

Items to imprint lines – I like to use scrap heavier paper, as in w/c paper or old business cards, etc.
