In this introductory class students will learn techniques to use coloured pencils to their best advantage, experimenting with colour theory, blending, realism, using mineral spirits, and more, culminating in an individual project of your choice.

  • Colour pencils (Prismacolour strongly recommended – a smaller pack will do, 12-24 piece)
  • Pencil
  • Erase
  • Sharpener
  • Sketchbook – look for heavy weight or Stonehenge paper (Strathmore colored pencil sketch book recommended)
  • Prismacolour Colourless blending pencil
