Art Journal/Basic Book Making Workshop #1 

In this class we will start with full sheets of 90 pound watercolour paper, measure, mark, tear, and fold into signatures. We then measure, mark and pierce our signatures for our books. We will then stitch them together with a binding stitch that allows the book to lay flat to work in with paint and collage. The covers will be made of heavier binder board and we will cover the outside with a heavier scrapbook paper and then lighter on the inside. This is finished before we bind the book as we stitch signatures to the cover. If there is time left in class we will work in our books. All materials are supplied and included in cost of workshop.
